Review: The Secret World of Arrietty (Blu-ray) [FOX 31]

"Anime has shown us that cartoons can have complex narratives (sometimes overly so), gigantic casts of richly defined characters, sprawling action and epic adventure. Whether they are serialized episodes, OVAs or feature films, Japanese animation has pushed the medium to bursting with frames literally exploding with tentacle monsters, ripped heroes and heroines, endlessly cavernous castles, weapons from stylized swords to transforming mecha-armor. THE SECRET WORLD OF ARRIETTY goes in the completely opposite direction showing that just because a film is animated it doesn’t have to be a Looney Tunes whirlwind of movement."

The story is too old to be commented.
