Dusk Maiden of Amnesia Review [The Nihon Review]

Nihon Review writes: "Horror is a genre I have not come to favor. It is not because I am timid; rather, there hasn’t been any that has horrified me. What I see more frequently is titles that are scary at first, but gradually lose the fear factor or become more of an action or comedy-type show. Case in point is Dusk Maiden of Amnesia, the latest production by SILVER LINK that is somewhat deceiving: it assumes an authentic horror series from the onset, but eventually, anything remotely horrific makes up less than half of the content, while the rest is composed of lighthearted frills and cheesy drama."

So basically, this guy hates the show because it isn't a horror anime, which it never really was billed as. Instead it is more of a drama. Plus it is another example of a reviewer instantly bashing the show because its got some fan service in it. The whole point of the fan service in this one is that it shows that she has practically no negative emotions. Then later on when she starts to gain her emotions back she becomes shy and starts reacting more. This guy seems to miss the show's point entirely and reviews it based off of his own misconceptions.

I always find it weird when I see a series and wonder if I should check it out and then discover that I already have it marked down to watch.

Despite this review I will still check it out.
