Man, I really hope that this turns out to be a second season for sure, because the light novels are absolutely amazing. They've finished the little introduction segment and now can get into the meat of the plot with the Devils, Angel and Fallen Angel alliance and the Khaos Brigade.
Yeah I did watch it, and wasn't too pleased either with the way that the main character literally flipped. Then again, he was just a mostly normal high schooler about to be killed. Also watching Hagure as well, though I just barely started it.
Unfortunately I don't watch the hunter x hunter anime, but I did read the manga when it was still being published. Now that it is on hiatus again I'm not doing anything with it.
Hopefully. I really liked the first series but I feel that if the story hadn't revolved around fan service then it could have been something much better than it was.
Thing is, the fan service wasn't even something that the animators just added in, the novels themselves are actually even worse, especially after the third or fourth one, though it starts to be less his fantasies and more the girls themselves.
I know, I've read a wee bit of one of the novels. I mean it does feel like a bit of a missed opportunity to be great as the plot sounds great. I just couldn't be bothered with his "I'm dying...but, TITS!" sort of attitude. Though sometimes it was funny.
