Grant from Denkiphile: "A rather quiet release, Boku no imouto wa Osaka Okan is about two siblings, Ishihara's Kyouske and Namika, who haven't seen each other for ten years due to family circumstances. The series begins after the two have reunited, but we are told that Namika has changed very much. She returns as one of the titular Osaka Okan, which literally means "Osakan mother." Her character portrays multiple stereotypes of the people of Osaka. Though this is an original series, the idea was inspired by two different books titled Osaka Ruuru and Osaka Okan Ruuru, which describes the stereotypical Osakan and Osakan mother."
