Tsutomu Satou’s “Mahōka Kōkō no Rettōsei” (The Irregular At Magic High School) light novel series will be getting its very own anime adaptation set to premiere April of 2014. The upcoming anime television series will be directed by Manabu Ono, known for “Horizon In The Middle of Nowhere” and “Saki Episode of Side A”, at animation studio Madhouse.
The story revolves around siblings Tatsuya and Miyuki Shiba who attend the Private Magic University Affiliated High School. Welcoming its new students, the school names the top student with the best grades at the time of their arrival the Bloom, and the student called the Weed is the Bloom’s replacement. Miyuki is given the title of Bloom due to her amazing grades and Tatsuya is given the title of Weed due to his poor magical practical scores. While the two have a good relationship with one another, Miyuki feels far more for her brother than sibling love. Since the day the two entered the gates of the Magic High School, the establishment’s calm days have now turned chaotic.
