Space Dandy 2: Something Special

After it’s divisive premiere, Space Dandy’s second episode came straight from the oven of Sayo Yamamoto, the director of the too artsy for words Lupin the Third: The Woman Named Mine Fujiko. This time featuring Dandy reluctantly agreeing to a search for a phantom ramen that supposedly can only be made by an undiscovered life form. The end result wasn’t quite as funny or as deeply astonishing a work of animation as the first episode, but it still surprises and astonishes.
