This was a solid episode. It actually was darker and more to the point than I expected, and had solid visuals and music, and a great instrumental opening.

The way they invaded the MC's "plain world" was nice, and unlike other shows where I feel as if nothing had been explained, and they failed to draw me in, I actually /did/ feel compelled and interested here.

All the silly gags that feel home at a manga or a fan-service show did feel out of place, especially in such a somber show.
