Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei Episode 9 - Doing It All

Another entry in my note-taking and thought-jotting series of posts on currently running shows. This episode is once again about how Tatsuya is the best, how Miyuki only thinks of her perfect and maligned brother, and about magic techno-babble.

The post breaks it /all/ down.

Like last week, this write-up is a bit less about notes taken during the show, and a tad more of a collection of mini-editorial points.

Well, with each episode, we're getting closer to action! And yeah, the episodes mostly revolve around the same thing. Then again, this whole show is just one extended story of how perfect Tatsuya is, so what did you expect? :)

That lead char is god awfull.

Whats the point of side characters in this show?, its like the whole world is built around on how to make the lead charater look better.

This is pretty much a botton of the barrel anime, that looks nice, but has nothing else going for it.

Supporting characters are there to shed light on the main characters' personality, or here, to show how awesome he is, and you don't even know any of it.

It's a bit more "understandable" in the LNs, as they aren't told from a third-person omniscient perspective, but from Tatsuya's perspective. More than that, he /narrates/ everything to you, explaining to you what everyone thinks and feels...

The whole point of side characters is to tell me the lead is awesome? could of fool me after 9 episodes.

Tatsuya is an awfull character, no personality (i know why he desnt have one, still awfull), good at everything, engineer at age 4, everybody looks like krilling around him.

This character have the exact same problem as superman too op for his own good.

No, saying the point of supporting characters in literature is to illuminate the main character's personality and show different aspects of it.

Of course, they should still be /people/, and it's slightly different in visual media.

But yeah. I've read the LNs. I know what you mean.
