Love this series, Kuriyama is awesome.

This was a pretty bad series, mostly in terms of composition, which a movie can help with, and direction, which would require a new director.

Wary.

Still worth watching though?

It's worth watching if you're generally a fan of the KyoAni sort of anime or if you like good action. The plot is a bit meh, but it's an enjoyable watch.

You can watch it without feeling your time /entirely/ wasted. It has nice small moments, and nice touches between characters, but the drama is terribly written, some scenes are terribly directed, and the order of events hamstrings things as well.

It's not that it's a "bad show" as much as it's a show that easily could've been better, and ended up being mediocre.

If you want some shy people animated by KyoAni, watch it. But there are many options that'll be better.

Heck, Free! is better.
