The second episode of Tokyo Ghoul picks up exactly where episode one ended, with Toka trying to force feed Kaneki, much to his chagrin. As mentioned before, in my review of the first episode, there’s a clear struggle by Kaneki to maintain his humanity, even if it costs him his well-being. Obviously, this is going to be a recurring theme for some time as our main protagonist learns to accept himself and what he’s become. As a viewer who has not yet read the source material, I can’t help but wonder when, and if, he’ll voluntarily eat human flesh.
