Hunter x Hunter took an interesting if unexpected turn with the election arc in the previous episode with the time spent with Alluka, but there was a lot to like with it as we got a look at both her past (we’re sticking with them until something is said otherwise) and with Killua. The two had unusual childhoods being the children of Zoldyck’s and that’s no surprise and what we’ve seen of the siblings over the years has proven that they’re all cut throat in their own way. Killua has certainly taken his own path in life since connecting with Gon and seeing a way that he never could while being in the compound and that was a risk, if not a plan, that his father had to get him to experience the world and understand things before fully coming home someday to be a part of the family business. So bringing Killua back there early has all sorts of interesting kinds of tension about it.
