The match against Araya has been a lot of fun as it’s unfolded as we’ve seen the way that Eiichiro has managed to learn how to read him, though it’s still a struggle to actually play hard against him since he’s got a lot of skill. What we see at the prologue here though, though the observations of another player, is that going against Eiichiro has been a challenge that Araya didn’t expect and it’s forcing him to react and grow in different ways. Which is a good thing as Araya is a very good player, but becoming one can put you into a particular rut and style that’s hard to escape from. For someone like Eiichiro, it’s the kind of opponent that can push you hard into being the kind of player you can be, making the match important for both young men.
