Has the OVA been picked up by any online distributor? I know it was just aired in Japan

Not that I know of. I know people are watching it outside of Japan but I believe they're just torrenting.

#TerraFormars on Twitter is going off with screenshots from the OVA. It looks great but I dont think torrenting is the right way to go.

No you're right. Surely it will get a Western release eventually, possibly when the home video release of the new Anime gets a release. I don't see why they wouldn't add it in as one of the extras
