Although the tone here is humorous, I'd be lying if I said I didn't think there was some truth and some actual calling for change in the anime blogosphere in this piece. It's not that I'd totally stop reading season previews, because I'm still interested in seeing what individual people are interested in watching, but it would definitely be nice to see more than just the rote, "I'm interested in this because of this director/studio/writer and because it fits my tastes."

Too often season previews just seem like an obligation the writer needed to fulfill, rather than them actually being excited about what's coming up.
