The anime adaptation of Mizuho Kusanagi’s manga Akatsuki no Yona, or Yona of the Dawn, revealed its premiere date about a month ago for Tuesday, October 7th, which will be on AT-X, TOKYO MX and other broadcaster. Now things are getting a bit more interesting as it’s been revealed that the series will run for two seasons over the course of half a year. The manga began in 2009 in Hana to Yume and is still ongoing with over eleven volumes so far. The anime adaptation is being produced by Studio Pierrot with scripts by Shinichi Inotsume. The cast includes Chiwa Saito as Yona, Tomoaki Maeno as Hak Son, Junko Minagawa as Yoon, Masakazu Morita as Ki-Ja, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Shin-Ah, Junichi Suwabe as Jae-Ha, Hiro Shimono as Zeno and Yuusuke Kobayashi as Soo-won.
