Fans of Kamisama Kiss may be enjoying the second season of the show, but the chances of a third dropped significant as sales of the home video release in Japan are practically disastrous. But since the focus is on selling more manga, there’s always hope for me. And that’s coming true, apparently, in a way that may make fans cringe about it. A new OVA adaptation is now in the works for the property that’s intent on covering the past-arc segment of the series, which ran through about four volumes of the manga and covered a lot of material. At the moment, it’s unclear if this is just a single OVA or an OVA series, as more details are coming in the next installment of the Hana to yume magazine.
