Escapist: Best animation style ever, anime vs non anime, east vs west

Chris:East vs West. Anime vs Not-Anime. I was really surprised with this one, not only in the decision within the episode, but also with the livid reaction we stirred in fans. And I'm disappointed, so very much, that one of Dan's core arguments against anime, an argument he was kind enough to leave out of this debate because he wanted to stay above the belt, was proven all too well:

I do agree with One Piece being at the top. I've watched Naruto before, but I can't remember why I stopped lol.

I've never heard of Ashita no Joe, but I did do a search and it's about boxing. I've only watched Hajime no Ippo and that was fun to watch. Will look into watching Ashita no Joe.

I've just caught up in Fairy Tail. Such a great anime.

I watched Eyeshield 21 years ago and it's such an amazing anime.

Others that I enjoyed are Claymore, Toriko, Tiger & Bunny, Death Note, Full Metal Alchemist and Level E.

I've been through a lot of other anime series, but I can't remember them, been watching them for years now lol.

A cat's regurgitation looks better than pretty much every western cartoon's animation.

Avatar , Gargoyles , and the batman animated series (the paul dini and bruce timm ones) , have been the only western cartoon series worth watching of the last 20 years imo .

And far behind you got stuff like the simpson , futurama and south park , worse each year but still ok , and hardly memorable for the animation .

Many cartoons from the 90's are pretty good.
Then it started to transition to flash animation instead of hand drawn these past few years.

Cybersix, tin tin are good too
