With the second half of Fate/Zero having gone live two weeks ago on the Japanese Nico Nico site, fans have been wondering what’s going on with the Crunchyroll release, which was announced at the very start of the spring line-up as one of the returning series. Under the agreement for the first half of the series in the fall of 2011, Crunchyroll was able to air the show a week after it aired in Japan and was streamed via Nico Nico. The advantage that Crunchyroll fans got was that you would have a variety of resolution options, including 1080p now, and what is easily said to be a much better interface than the Nico Nico player (unless you count the soft streamed user comments over the video a plus). While episode fourteen landed last weekend, it didn’t show up on Saturday of this weekend as was expected. Instead, it launched today at 11:30 am ET, so it’s not exactly getting the week+ streaming release, but a little more.
