Toonami seems to mostly show Funimation's Anime so I wouldn't hold out much hope of getting Fate/Zero or Persona 4 on the channel since those are handled by Sentai Filmworks.
As for Future Diary and Attack On Titan, those ARE distributed (or will be) by Funimation so there is hope with those shows.
Accel World is by Neon Alley so they're a wild card.
You're 100% correct. In Japan, "Anime" means animation in general. "Anime" outside of Japan means different things.
Like I said in my original post, to me as a Westerner, "Anime" is animation that is produced by a Japanese studio. Some people want to talk about what makes something anime in terms of the presentation (animation, writing, story ect) but to keep things simple for myself, I just consider it animation produced in Japan. #2.3.1
I hope this is real. A lot of people don't know that the Akira movie ended about 1/3 through the full story. Hopefully this series will cover the entire Manga. #1
I was like you too but I decided to watch the movies anyway. They're much better than the series as far as I'm concerned. I liked NGE but felt it had a lot of problems. These movies are giving me the Evangelion I was expecting. #2.1

Or there are the ones set in a feudal Japan that's overrun with demons. Even the Ghost in the shell universe is kind of scary because you have to worry about either a.i rising to dominate mankind or some terrorist group hacking into every... #16
It's nice to see that the people in this comment section realize how absurd it is to get offended over what Freddy said. If more anime fans were like you guys this community would be a lot stronger. #9

Of course! The fan sub will just hold us over until then. I own the first 2 on blu-ray and I want to own all four. I can't wait! #2.2.2
