A 71-year-old anime director Gisaburo Sugii has been working in the Japanese anime industry since 1950s. He is known for his anime works based on the manga titles by Osamu Tezuka and Mitsuru Adachi, and anime adaptations of the popular game series Street Fighter. His latest film is Gusko Budori no Denki/The Life of Guskou Budori based on a Kenji Miyazawa's story. This is the second anime adaptation film based on the author's work for Sugii since Night on the Galactic Railroad in 1985. Gusko Budori no Denki will hit Japanese theaters on July 7.
