Blue Exorcist Collection 1 Review | Capsule Computers

Luke Halliday writes:

"It’s hard to argue that Blue Exorcist wasn’t one of the most popular anime series of 2011. It seemed like almost overnight, the entire anime fandom had their eyes on Kazue Kato’s creation. The only thing that disappointed me about this series was actually the fact that it was too short. I do know that it ended up catching up to the source material very fast and had to do an anime original ending, albeit one with possible continuation. But it certainly had a chance to make a name for itself as a long running series.

Well i liked it until episode 16 i think. They didnt even have to do an anime original ending they could had left it on a cliff hanger. I read the manga and im getting disappointed the chapters are shorter and shorter.

That happens with most ongoing monthly manga series that get an anime. I think that companies should stop making animes based on these manga until the are finished. Sometimes they are good and most of the time they are okay for the majority of the series but then they get endings which are just crap.

Agreed, monthly manga are usually poorly adapted if that is the only source material they use. Especially when one episode usually can cover up to three chapters, it is nearly impossible to not catch up to the source.
