Don't see it happening as he hasn't really had to face the 9 tails (even internally) since the Pain arc which was covered by UNS2.

It would appear that I don't remember it because I stopped watching the anime just a wee bit after Danzo got defeated.

That means I would've read that bit and considering that I was reading about 10-15 manga around the same time, I think I just have a mish-mash of manga memories. So it'll be lost in there somewhere.

Well he cant beat the fox on his own. Even if the fox wasn't in his body Naruto doesn't stand a chance. I highly doubt sage mode can touch the 9 tails.

I did like the latest chapter though. Somebody put Naruto in his place for once. LMAO
