No Game, No Life Episode 5 - Impressions and Notes

Another entry in my note-taking and thought-jotting series of posts on currently running shows. This episode focused on humiliating Steph, and giving us Steph-service. More to the point, it had given us a spiel on who wins games, and how Sora and Shiro aren't just being lazy.

As always, the notes were taken while actually watching the episode, and rather than just repeating what you've already watched, elaborate upon it, assuming you've already watched the episode.

This episode was... everything No Game, No Life is about. It was silly, it was fan-servicey, it was... trashy. But it had some sense of silly grandeur, and playing everything too seriously while winking at the audience furiously. It was fun.

Yes, our characters won't fight unless they know they can win, but the whole point of the series is to throw them into situations where they have no other option.

But no, if you didn't like it early, you're probably not going to like it now.
