Viz Media has rolled out their next digital manga sale on ComiXology and Amazon Kindle with the series Angel Sanctuary. The series comes from Kaori Yuki which ran in the shojo magazine Hana to Yume between 1994 and 2000 for twenty compiled volumes. All of those volumes are now on sale on the two services for $4.99 and $4.49 per volume respectively. The property proved pretty popular for fans as it had a three episode anime series produced that was released by Central Park Media and then rescued by Media Blasters, and there was a series of Drama CDs in Japan as well that covered other story arcs.
I actually own all of this series in Japanese. Been ages since I read it though. I have to admit, I always thought the themes involved in this manga would've prevented it getting widely released, but I suppose the anime content that came to international markets was still in the fairly tame end of the series.
The price is £2.99 on Comixology and £3.82 on amazon in the UK if that helps any.
