The wait is over as FUNimation confirms the licensing of Dragon Ball Super in North America.
Finally we can get a DUB. I can watch most shows in eitther language...But not DBZ...I cannot stand its j-cast.
True. I got used to it now. Can't stop with the last 2 arcs. So much is happening.
I originally watched DBZ in English as a kid and I just cant picture the show being any other way. I have tried the Japanese version, but I cant really do it either. It's odd because most anime I prefer in Japanese with Eng sub, but not DBZ.
Yeah same here, wonder if they'll show it on toonami when kai is over. I also like the orginal english of dbz then kai version. Bruce music made it more emotional and interesting and they cut out some dramatic parts as well also the wording as well. Like 16 speech to gohan is different from the original.
The cast were good in the English DUB , with the exception of the child characters (but Vegeta was awesome). The Japanese soundtrack was great, but Bruce Faulconer was on a league of his own, and he made the English DUB the best. People just keep putting it down because its not the original DUB and the widescreen fits too perfectly on everyone's tvs. They just need to accept the English Blu ray release was far better than Dragonball Kai, which was the crappy result of everyone's complaints.
I love Falcs music! His cell tune.. His Trunks one.. man I remember his more than I do the original ones I watched.
DBZ sounds good in English IMO, same as DB. I only saw a sample clip of the Japanese dub and what little i saw of it the male characters sounded like old women, i think at least Goku and Vegeta did anyway.
Goku is literally voiced by an old woman.
Great news as I can't stand the J cast. It's a shame Super is so poorly animated.
