Crunchyroll and TV Tokyo have issued a lawsuit against 13 YouTube uploaders for allegedly illegal distribution of anime episodes, according to a copyright infringement complaint filed on May 11 and served between July and September.
Good, stop illegal downloads and uploads. That way legal streaming can be the norm.
... it will never be the norm. Also, just because I download a show doesn't mean I won't buy it later on DVD/BR when I like it. Just think of it like this: You sample it through downloads cause it doesn't get aired on TV here like it is in Japan (including numerous repeats). If you like it enough you buy it. That's how it works.
That's why I've been watching blue exorcist and beelzebub on Crunchyroll. Not here yet in the west but I love the two shows.
hahaa that picture is funny. that girl is watching Naruto!
