Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni wasn't THAT disturbing, it just had me mind f*cked till like episode 20. I was so confused..

However, I had School Days ending coming. The website I watched it had 'Gore' in School Days category so I was expecting something twisted to happen till the end.

funny thing is when I watched School Days I had no idea what was coming since I didn't know crap about the game. I only picked up the series because of the NTR elements which I like very much in hentai but I never imagined the ending was going to be this sick.

Instant classic right there!

The Anime gets totally on your nerves with Makoto's insanely bad behaviour with not one or two but a whole bunch of girls. By the time you reach the final 2 episodes we ourselves wanna injure him badly.

Thats the reason why some might call it an Epic ending that's all.

Violent Jack should be number one. IIRC i remember seeing a scene where he raping somebody and eating out somebody guts at the same time and they actually show it if you saw the uncensored version.

First episode of ELFEN LIED was Unbarable to the sane mind.
Highly sadistic and over-the-top Gore with blood and shattered bones all over the place.

You just said you watched the first episode and can't understand why its so popular... Maybe if you watched a little more you'd see...? Elfen Lied is one of the best Anime's ever! You don't see people questioning why Quentin Tarantino's films are so popular because they're have gore in them.

Gantz might have a bizarre plot, a bit of fanservice and some violence but its far from being a Disturbing Anime like elfen lied and Higurashi.

Nah Gantz is the best manga Ive ever read. The anime never did it justice by ending it so bluntly not to mention the english voice dub.. Omg it was atrocious!

Yes, Genocyber is hands down the most disturbing anime. It's detail is immensely disgusting. This should have at least made the list let alone not be number one.
