Sentai Filmworks Acquires 'Qwaser Of Stigmata' Anime License

Sentai Filmworks has kicked off Sunday by showing that they still have more license announcements to make as they've sent out word that they've picked up the rights to Qwaser of Stigmata. The release will come out digitally later this year as well as getting, and I quote, "uncut, subtitled DVD." The information also makes it clear that Sentai has both seasons, noting "this series consists of two seasons and one OVA for a total of 37 episodes." The series is directed by Hiraku Kaneko (Aquarian Age, Godannar) and featuring character designs by Makoto Uno (Gravion, Love Hina) and music by Tatsuya Katou (Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere, MEDAKA BOX).

Seems like Sentai is stepping away from dubbing shows entirely now since everything they've licensed this weekend is for subtitle only. Suppose its cheaper in a way.

The simulcasts that they've picked up they don't state whether they'll be dubbed. They wait on viewership numbers first. They did not that Horizon will be dubbed and on Blu-ray. So if the viewer numbers are high, it can get a dub and a BD. Only the older shows announced from a few years back are getting the DVD only sub treatment.
