Top Reasons why DEATH NOTE is still the best Psychological Anime Masterpiece

The story of this anime is a masterpiece. The concept itself, the Shinigami's notebook which grants the person who has it the power to kill anyone by simply writing the person's name while picturing the face in his mind - is already brilliant to begin with as it presents the viewer questions like "What would I do if I had that power?"

The way it is developed brings us yet more questions and defies our morals.

Nothing can beat the Sheer Psychological tension offered by Death Note and KAIJI!!! Hands Down!!

The first half of DN was great but the second half felt forced.

Liar Game is not anime , but is adapted from a manga and it was great, very fast paced, couldn't stop watching till the last movie

I actually like Akaji more than Kaiji. Well Death Note is just the most known there are plenty of animes that are psychological masterpieces.

I suggest everyone to watch One Outs right now. Its better than death note in a few ways.

Man that is my all time favorite sports anime. Im still pissed they didnt continue it i actually like it more than Death Note.

I even hate baseball but this is a must see.

I believe the animation is better than Death Note too. Its been a couple years since i saw One Outs but its a masterpiece. Well a realistic psychological anime.

Yeah phi-brain is good but the second season is pure crap.

rezzah1571d ago

I actually enjoy the second season over the first season.

Funny how we all see things differently.

I was rather let down by Death Note's ending in truth. After a certain character died marking the halfway point I felt that the series began to degrade.

Darrius Cole1572d ago

I never read the manga but I watched the anime. Given the universe and the definitions of the characters, I felt like the ending was a bit of plot device. Light was wayyyy too smart to be defeated like that, much less by a plot that he saw through.

shreeveera1572d ago

I wanted L to defeat Kira, not some lame ass NEAR kid...

gaffyh1572d ago

Still, even with the bad ending, Death Note is one of the best anime ever made, because it is incredibly well written for the most part. Did you ever think an anime about writing in a book could be any good?

hkgamer1572d ago

yeah, i know what you mean... i was so convinced that he faked his death and was coming back soon... the way light got caught was stupid...

gaffyh1572d ago

Basically, he trusted someone else, whereas in the rest of the series, he only trusts himself, and that is why he go caught.

I was let down by Death Note too. Its good but highly overrated. If it was good like people claim the second act shouldnt had been meh.

The second act of Death note was meh. But after that it gets right back into where the brilliance of act 1 was.
