Yoichi Wada: We'll show Final Fantasy Versus XIII once it reaches that nostalgic FF feeling

In more non-news, Famitsu provided a bit more to Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada's Versus XIII mention during the FF 25th anniversary ceremonies.

In addition to confirming the game was indeed still in the works, Wada said, “When [the game] reaches the level where it gives you that nostalgic, “this is Final Fantasy!” feeling, I want to show it to everyone.” (Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Gaming)

so basically what they are saying is that the game was cancelled and they doesn't want to make it public because they know this would ruin their image even more (if that's even possible).
