Oricon noted on Thursday that Karuho Shiina's Kimi ni Todoke manga now holds the shōjo manga record for most consecutive volumes to top the weekly manga ranking chart since Oricon began posting its charts in April 2008. Kimi ni Todoke now has 12 consecutive volumes ranking at #1. Eiichiro Oda's One Piece pirate manga holds the overall record for most consecutive volumes to top the weekly manga ranking chart with 18 volumes.
