Meh, that is disappointing actually. I would have loved a second season of the actual storyline, not just focusing on Hyoubu and his things. Going to give this a miss.

Hmmm. I wonder if this focus on Hyoubu means they're going to get into all the backstory on him and Fujiko back in the war years. The manga has covered that, but it's been scattered amongst a lot of volumes. Might be a lot easier for them to just do it as a coherent series, rather than a bunch of flashbacks taking up half of a regular season.
