I have to agree the high school "I'm 17 year old [insert name] second-year student" trend has been getting old. The Anime industry needs more original stories that explores different subject instead of the same slice of life story told at different perspectives sprinkled with ecchi/fan service to make sure it sells and keeps the attention of the viewers.

On a quick side not, I personally thought Jormungand was probably the only show in 2012 I loved and a perfect example of what some not all Anime needs to be like again. I would say Psycho Pass as well, but I haven't finished it yet.

Winter doesn't seem to be very interesting in general but at least I have for 2 favorite sequel of mine (Chihayafuru, Tomodachi) to w8 for & 1 new IP (Shingeki no Kyojin) that I was w8ing for from the moment I read the manga it is based on.

Although I'm very worried about Kyojin because the plague that infect all the horror manga-adaptation to anime is very strong the last years, obviously I speak for censoring, this will be enough to destroy the adaptation of this amazing manga & make the show unwatchable.

Even though the manga ended... Dashi Koukouei no Nichijou was my favorite anime for 2012. It really brought up my spirits after I watched it... I hope there is a season 2. Other than that, I'm not too sure I'm interested in any of these, but I'll give them a chance anyways.
