"When Springtime comes, you know the cherry blossoms are about to come and bring in an aura of warmth. But what if alongside that warmth comes the warmth of Japanese pop culture fans? This was the case with the 2013 Sakura Matsuri at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden in New York. Every year in Brooklyn, around late April/early May, many folks from all over the Tristate Area come and visit one of the more well-known cherry blossom festivals in the United States. There were a good variety of traditional Japanese activities, ceremonies, and performances waiting to delight crowds and I got a chance to attend the 2nd day of the event, which leaned heavily towards the pop culture side of Japan."
