Oldest Surviving Film For Japanese Anime Found

The show, "Mogura no Aventure" ("Mole's Adventures"), was produced in color and tells the humorous story of a character named Kuro-chan and his grand adventures in space while he dreams.

The footage, now 55 years old, has a runtime of just under nine minutes and was created using paper cutouts. It was found in February in a warehouse in NTV's Ikuta Studio in Kawasaki city.
