Tetsuya Nomura doesn’t seem to have much of a preference between the two platforms that will host Kingdom Hearts III, but is quite proud of the "Kingdom Shader" that will add visual variety to the game.
I don't think it matters much anymore now that many devs and console makers realize that they need to be somewhat equal in terms of how their architecture works across consoles or else things will get dicey quickly. It was very prevalent in the PS360 gen. Hopefully this'll lead to better ports across the two consoles and devs not having to choose sides and instead get their creations out to as many people as possible. Personally, I don't see why the PC is not in Square Enix's plans outside of their MMOs, but hopefully that'll change. More to the point, though, the multiplatform thing came as neither of any surprise or to any angst. We know now that the third party exclusive is somewhat of a thing of the past, and we should look to first parties to drive console sales instead of exclusive DLC and perks.
