The official website for Tsutomu Hanabusa’s upcoming Sadako 2 -3D- film has recently started streaming a full theatrical trailer. The film is currently set to continue on from the events of Sadako 3D after five years have passed. During this time a series of sudden unexplained deaths and an array of disappearances leads to an investigation into the re-emergance of a ‘video curse’.
The story focuses on Akane Ayukawa who gave birth to a daughter named Nagi four years ago, but she dies soon after. Takanori after this quit his job and entered retirement, but kept this secret from his younger sister Fuuko. However, a conncestion with Sadako is soon revealed as strange incidents start to take place around Fuuko’s niece.
The project is planned to premier in Japan on August 30th 2013 courtesy of Kadokawa Pictures. The film has also had some rumours, stating that the film will incorporate mobile phones of moviegoers to provide a 4D experience.
