The Sacred Blacksmith Vol 1 Review – Manga - AnimeMage

Review of the recently translated The Sacred Blacksmith Manga Volume 1.

“Like her father and grandfather before her, Cecily Campbell has entered the knighthood and joined the ranks of the Knight Guard, sworn to protect the Independent Trade City of Housman. Now the time has come for Cecily to prove herself in battle. A veteran of the great Valbanill War goes berserk in the marketplace. Cecily confronts him with the prized sword she inherited from her father – and it shatters to pieces!
All seems lost when a lone figure swoops to the rescue an expert swordsman with a sword unlike any Cecily has ever seen. His name is Luke Ainsworth, blacksmith of much renown, who will forge a new sword for Cecily and join her down a path of magical adventure beyond her wildest dreams.”

The anime is good (nothing amazing, but worth a watch) but its only the one season which is a shame.

The light novel's are still ongoing and there are currently 7 of them however none have been translated into English (by fan translators or legitimately) so unless you can read Japanese (I'm trying to learn) then you can't read the light novels.

However the Manga is now being translated and published in English (USA get them before me as in the UK) Volume 1 is already out, Volume 2 is due out in the UK September 2nd, Volume 3 in December and Volume 4 in 2014!

Hope this is useful to someone (save them time looking for the light novels).

I'm looking forward to continuing to read the Manga, are you?
