Another entry in my note-taking and thought-jotting series of posts on currently running shows. This write-up focuses on what all multiplayer games and contests require - other people, and a connection with them. Sphinx and Shibazaki are portrayed as close and similar to one another.

Regardless of anything else, this show continues to have a plethora of great shots. You really feel how they're pushing for the gritty and noir-like atmosphere, with Shibazaki a call-back to these older noir protagonists, and also to Watanabe's Mugen and Spike Spiegel.

This episode feels like it was somewhere between set-up of the game and playing of the game. "Connections" seems to be the show's main theme, right now.
