Seiyuu and anime fans everywhere were shocked when Miyu Matsuki recently passed away at the age of 38 last October. She is best known for her roles as Anna in Shimoneta: A Boring World Where Dirty Jokes Don’t Exist, Kuuko in the Nyaruko-san series, and Isumi in the Hayate the Combat Butler! series.
Initially, her exact cause of death was not announced, but thanks to an announcement by 81 Produce via Miyu’s own blog, we now know that she had caught a chronic active Epstein-Barr virus infection, which escalated into malignant lymphoma. It ultimately led to her unfortunate passing.
