It's helped my Japanese, but that's about it. Even there, it's just been my accent, speed and intonation...because who really needs to know how to say "I'm going to kill you" 12 different ways in Japanese?

I learned Japanese from it.

But mostly, it taught me a lot about relationships. How they're a bunch of hooey and how they can also be the greatest thing on the face of the planet.

That, and the fact that if someone you like shouts your name, your power level goes over 9000.
