Nerd Reactor: Studio Ghibli is well known for their style and storytelling in anime from Japan, with Hayao Miyazaki as the mastermind. The studio’s last movie was Ponyo in 2008, a cute take on the Little Mermaid story. Two years later, their newest film, The Borrower Arrietty will be released in Japanese theaters on July 17, 2010. It’s adapted from Mary Norton’s novel and takes place in Tokyo, about tiny people living underneath the floorboards of a typical human household. This animated movie will be directed by newcomer, Hiromasa Yonebayashi, the youngest and “the first director born and raised at Studio Ghibli,” says Miyazaki. To help ease the pain until it comes out here to the states, you can check out the final trailer for the movie below.
