Japanator.com writes: "Kiyoshi Takayama, the 2nd highest ranking boss of the Yamaguchi-gumi clan, has been arrested. The Yamaguchi-gumi's are the most powerful yakuza group in Japan, and Takayama has been charged with blackmail and extortion. The crime lord forced a construction company in Kyoto to pay 40,000,000 yen in protection money to the gang.
Ironically, Takayama was one of the bosses who was handing out holiday gifts to children in Kobe last year, though there was no explicit reason for doing so. Perhaps they thought it would help their public image? Eh, I think once you've killed and illegally obtained enough money, no amount of giving gifts to children can help you out. Nice try, though."
