He;s right, WWII was a terrible thing but I imagine that if it hadn't happened there would be a lot of countries that are a lot worse off than they are now. The only really issue is whether the priced paid to force change was worth it.

they have an Army called Japan's Self Defense Forces, is just that they aren't allowed to use it to attack other countries (nor help them).
SDF is similar to an army in that sense. I just wish Japan's army was strong enough to give China pause in that region.
