AnimeShinbun 12 Days of Christmas Contest 2011 - Day 5
Hello everyone and welcome to our 12 Days of Christmas Competition. =)
As we previously mentioned in the main competition blog, with this competition I'll be making a new blog every day for the next 12 days, with an anime/manga/otaku question or riddle for you to solve. The questions will be challenging, though not too challenging. They'll be things I hope that you won't be able to get with a single Google search, but things that even a non-fan of a franchise should be able to work out if they stick at it for a little while.
For each question, we'll select one minor prize winner at random from all those who correctly answered the question, who'll receive something small relating to the question. That could be something like a trading figure, keychains, cosplay items, and so forth. On the final day, the person who's answered the most questions correctly (regardless of if they received any minor prizes or not) up to that point will be able to select a special prize (ie. we'll buy you something relevant to your interests). If we have a situation where there's a tie, the 12th and final question will then serve as a tiebreaker round, and I'll ramp up the difficulty of the question significantly, with the first person getting an answer in winning.
Remember, while we'll continue to announce a new trivia question each day, you can still submit your entry for any of the questions of days 1 to 11 right up until the end of the 11th day.
Today's Question:
There's no way we could do a contest like this without covering the big 3 Shounen action series. We've already done One Piece on Day 1, so it's about time we covered another. Today's question will be based off fan favorite ninja action Naruto.
As anyone who's watched Bakuman will know, series are often trialed as a one shot before actually being serialized. Naruto was no different. Unlike many series though, Naruto went through some very dramatic and drastic changes from the one shot. Your challenge today? Of the characters who appeared or were mentioned in the one shot who were retained for the actual series, how were they changed? There's quite a few I think, but there's 3 main ones I'm looking for. As long as you get at least 3 (regardless of if they're the main ones or some of the minor ones), you're in to win.

All entries should be PMed directly to me. We'll pick a winner at random out of the entries who've submitted the most (correct) names. All winners will be announced at the end of the month. You can potentially win multiple times in this particular contest, so don't be afraid of spoiling your chances in the others. ;)
