AnimeShinbun February 2013 Contests
Hi everyone! Between Christmas and gathering trivia questions for our Quizify app (speaking of which, winners from that will be notified tomorrow), it's been a while since we've had our last regular contests, hasn't it? It's about time we went back to the normal format, I think....
Just a heads up BTW, I have had one person who won a prize November last year put their hand up over the past couple of days and let us know they didn't get their Amazon gift card. If you're also in that position, please get in touch with me so I can follow that up for you.

When you visit AnimeShinbun at least once during every 24 hour period during February, you'll gain an entry into our Loyal Reader Lottery! If you want to keep track you can follow along with your Daily Visit score*, so if you want to make sure you've logged in during a 24 hour period check this score on your profile!

Pretty much self-explanatory this one. And to make things interesting...we'll give you entries for every tip you contribute as well! So no excuses for not contributing those extra stories now when you hit your news submission limit. ;)

BEST USER BLOG:
You must post a User Blog in the month of February! There's no limit to how many wonderful User Blogs you can write and enter, anything you author here on AnimeShinbun during the month of February will be eligible. The winner will be chosen by myself and Lavalamp. What we'll be looking for is an interesting blog that sparks off conversation and interest amongst other users.

CONTRIBUTOR CONTEST:
How many stories can you submit? Every news story you submit on AnimeShinbun during the month of February will get you 1 entry, and we'll be picking 2 winners at random from those entries.
Prize: 2 winners - a $50 Amazon Gift Card each!
With all of our contests, you'll be disqualified if you pick up a restriction of any kind during the contest period. Comments with negative labels (Trolling, Off Topic, etc.), unresolved reported stories, etc, will not count to any competition.
In the interests of fairness, each entrant will only be eligible to win one prize per month. If your name comes up for multiple prizes, then we'll be awarding you the highest value one and redrawing the others.

Terms and Conditions
1. Competition is open to all AnimeShinbun users, except for employees of HAVAmedia and immediate relatives. Contests are not limited to the US/North America.
2. Closing date is 11:59 PM (American Eastern Standard Time), February 28th 2013.
3. In the event of unforeseen circumstances AnimeShinbun/HAVAmedia reserves the right to substitute prizes for alternatives of equal or greater value.
4. Prizes are not transferrable.
5. The winners of the competition will be notified by AnimeShinbun ticket on or before March 7, 2013.
6. Failure to reply to ticket notification within seven (7) days will result in forfeiture of prize.

I hope i win this month and last month. it's been so long since I won anything despite all my efforts!!
Just out of curiousity how were they pathetic? If it was because the questions that were asked were difficult... of course they were meant to be difficult. That is why there were those creative challenges to spice things up and give others a chance to win or boost their score. Also except for a few questions which were either guesses or I got wrong, most of them could be answered with a decent amount of "Google-Fu."
If it wasn't because the stuff wasn't focused on shōnen series then you need to expand you're anime/manga territory. It's good to change the contests up every once and awhile to keep things fresh.
