How are Mikasa and Levi related in Attack on Titan?

We first need to know that the Ackermans have always lived on Eldia; they lived here before the Walls went up. The Ackerman Clan was a direct result of the Eldian Empire experimenting on the Subjects of Ymir and Titan science. The Ackermans were designed to protect Eldia’s King and the survival of their people. Because of the experimentations, the Ackerman Clan was immune to the Founding Titan’s memory erasal.

After this, they soon turned their back on the King and rejected his ideas of peace. Unfortunately, that meant they would be persecuted. The Ackerman Clan fled to the Underground City many generations later for refuge. This is where we see Levi and his uncle Kenny lived. Unfortunately, many of the Ackermans have died out, and only we know of a handful of them in the manga and anime of Attack on Titan.

So how are Levi and Mikasa related in Attack on Titan? The only relation they have towards each other is the Ackerman Clan. So while they are relatives, they are not close in relation; i.e., they are not close cousins or brother and sister.
