Rurouni Kenshin: New Kyoto Arc Review [Capsule Computers]

the problem is that it packs so much content and at the same times it leaves so much out that unless you watched or read the original manga and anime then it'll be really hard to understand anything. On top of it they tried to go for a serious mood like the Betrayal ovas but they didn't pull it off the right way so it only comes off as being cheesy and boring.

Pretty much what wishingW3L says.

It's basically for RK fans who craves for more RK. Kyoto Arc just has too much content for 90 minutes and everything seems rushed.

I'm still hoping for a 4-5 OVA of the Jinchuu Saga, now that would be epic.

It also really doesn't help that none of the original voice actors returned for this. I mean it's fine that they couldn't get all of them, but to think they couldn't get even a few of the original television dub cast back is sad.
