I’m talking the 1990s’ and early 2000s’ in particular. Around late August 2003, I attended my first ever anime convention, Big Apple Anime Fest, in the heart of New York City.
It was held at the luxurious Marriott Marquis Hotel on Broadway and I must say, it was an experience that makes me reflect how far I’ve come as an otaku."
