Sad to see this one end.

So true T_T

Its rather refreshing watching an anime where anyone could die at any moment.

Yeah, really. I was in shock at so many points while watching this show.

This anime was a disappointment towards the end. It deviated from the manga and created a lot of plot holes. It was rushed and you could tell.

I've heard that from others, but I haven't read the manga yet. I got the sense of the rush, but the show still stood out for me in various respects. The characters were very well crafted; the moral ambiguity was expressed well (empathy for Esdeath, for instance, despite everything); the plot was fairly typical, but the focus on Night Raid's actions took the show above that limitation; the use of death created a real sense of conflict and raised really valuable moral questions.

Overall, I liked it more than quite a few others from this season (though I've still got a huge backlog to work through).
